Tamara Stewart has launched a new online campaign to build support

and promote her upcoming 4th album release- all set for JULY 2012.

IndieGoGo is a new internet initiative that bridges the gap between

artists and fans- allowing fans to show their support to artists prior to release, throughout the process.

"I've been really humbled by the response" Tamara said. "There's

something really magic about really FEELING that support while I'm

getting ready for the album. It's been amazing."

Quite often it's the costs involved in recording an album for an independent artist that can delay the process for artists, IndieGoGo keeps Tamara right on track for her July release. She had quite a startling moment that changed her view on her 'patience' in getting Album 4 on the shelves. 

"I was involved in a car accident early in April where I was not at fault, but my car was written off on the F3 freeway at 1:30am on the last night of a tour- in the rain .. and I walked away unscathed." Tamara said. "Standing alone on the side of the freeway, in the dark, I realised- my reason to do all this is to make music. I wasn't doing it for cars or money or fame. Asking for support from my fans- well, it's powered me on. On the days when I'm battling to co-ordinate fees/schedules or any of the other stuff in relation to this album- all that is over-shadowed by a 'pledge of support' on the IndieGoGo page and a comment reminding me there are people who want to hear this album, and they are the reason I will make this record."

And as humbled as Tamara is by the process, her fans are reaping the rewards of Tamara's IndieGoGo campaign!

TAMARA AND RICK HIT THE ROAD

For the first time in their 10 year collaborative history, Tamara Stewart and Rick Price will team up for a tour promoting Rick's brand new album "THE WATERS EDGE".

Tamara Stewart has appeared on "Mornings with Kerri Anne" with her band debuting one of the tracks from her incredible fourth album.

Set for release early 2012, Tamara Stewart has been busy preparing her new songs for release, and took a sneak peak to Channel 9 in November.

"What It Means To Me" is Tamara's Aussie Anthem, celebrating Australia and all that makes it unique. Written by Tamara after her last trip to Nashville, Tamara says it's again, a very personal look at something very close to her heart.

"We have an incredible country. No matter where you go in the world, you'll meet someone envious of Australia- I've become more and more patriotic the more I've traveled."

“BUTTERFLY” named in the the Top 5 Country songs for 2011

     Tamara Stewart’s song of evolution and triumph stands proud today after scoring a   Nomination for APRA Song of the Year at the 2012 Jayco Country Music Awards  of Australia. 

     Finalists were announced yesterday by the CMAA at the invitation only event in Sydney.

Sharing the category with the heavyweight’s of Australian Country Music, Shane Nicholsen, Graeme Connors, Adam Harvey/Troy Cassar-Daley and Beccy Cole, Tamara is without a doubt, receiving well deserved recognition as one of the finest singer/songwriters Australia has to offer.

BUTTERFLY is the first single from Tamara’s fourth album, due for release early in the new year and if this nomination is any indication of what’s to come, 2012 and will be a very exciting year for Tamara.

This marks Tamara’s sixth Golden Guitar nomination, her first was for Best New Talent in 1998.

“It was a very surreal moment when BUTTERFLY was announced as a finalist....” Tamara said “I have never received an APRA song
nomination for my own project before... I am beyond excited, it’s at the heart of my dream...”

Produced by award winning Record Producer Matt Fell, BUTTERFLY is currently climbing the charts across the country.

After losing an incredible 40 kilo’s and transforming her life, Tamara says she “finally found the courage” to write the song but it wasn’t an easy task.

“The idea for the song BUTTERFLY was sparked about 2 years ago” Tamara said “I was about to embark on this journey... I wanted change in my life and knew what I wanted to achieve, but it was going to take time and patience. Earlier this year, it hit me like a hurricane- it was time to write the song.” 

A powerful, and uplifting song, BUTTERFLY shares a story of evolution. Tamara is by no means alone in her journey, with so many fans from across the country coming forward and identifying with  BUTTERFLY as if the story was their own.

STREET SWAGS is a charity organisation that provides much needed bedding for the homeless. Founder and current Queensland Telstra Business Woman of the Year (Innovation) Jean Madden, said she was “humbled by the support of so many high profile artists who have given their time so generously and written songs especially for this fund raising project.”  

Enjoying the success of her latest single “Butterfly”, award winning singer songwriter Tamara Stewart has captured the true meaning of the season in this beautifully penned Christmas song. “Happy Little Christmas” is a song of hope about a couple dealing with the up’s and down’s of life throughout the year, and counting their blessings at Christmas.

Martin Place in SYDNEY will be awash with pink today for the National Breast Cancer Foundation "Pink Ribbon Day".

As the leaders in raising funds for research, NBCF has set themselves a task for NO DEATHS by 2030!

They have asked TAMARA STEWART to come and join forces by entertain the lunchtime city crowd with her inspiring songs and stories, alongside the National Girls Choir from midday on Monday 24th October.
